Leo W. Townsend D.D.S. is originally from Southern California and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He has been practicing dentistry since 1989 after graduating from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee and completing a GPR residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He continually updates his dental techniques through classes and hands-on seminars. The doctor and his family live here in the Laguna area.

Kathy Compton is the Office Manager. She has many years of experience in the Insurance and Finance Fields. As well as the ten years with Dr. Townsend. If you have concerns or questions regarding your insurance or account balance please ask to speak with Kathy.

Maria Luisa Macaraeg has been working in the dental field for 10 years as a registered dental assistant. She was introduced to dentistry by assisting her aunt who is a dentist, which pursued her working in this field. She speaks Ilocano and Tagalog. She moved to Sacramento 5 years ago from the Bay Area.

Nancy Navarro, RDH has over 10 years experience in the dental industry. After studying dentistry for six years in the Philippines, she continued her education at San Francisco State University and Chabot College, earning her license in dental hygiene. As a team member of Laguna View Family Dental since 2007, she always maintains a caring and pleasant attitude and makes sure that her clients receive the best oral health care possible.

Kimberly Arbuckle has been a Registered Dental Assistant for the past 16 years. Loves to make people feel at ease in the dental chair, and will assist you in all your dental needs.

Tina Ochoa is our scheduling coordinator who is bilingual in Spanish. She has over 20 years experience working in the administrative & doctor’s offices. When calling or visiting our office Tina will be there to assist you promptly & professionally.

Dr. Townsend has invested in the most innovative equipment available. Utilizing Caesy, a DVD audio-visual system, the doctor and staff can explain in detail our many dental procedures. The program is filled with dental information about hygiene, sealants, orthodontics, implants, crowns, and cosmetic dentistry. Using the oral camera, Dr. Townsend will present the most ideal treatment and options available. This information will help you, along with our team, reach your ultimate dental goal.

Laguna View Family Dental prides themselves in the best techniques in sterilization. The office uses two steam sterilizers along with OSHA approved surface disinfectants. The doctor has also provided a separate water system with steam-distilled water.

Dr. Townsend strives to make his patients comfortable and relaxed. The dental chairs face windows. He also provides music headphones for your listening pleasure. Children are always welcome at Laguna View Family Dental. Toys and activities are provided for their enjoyment. Special surprises are also rewarded.
